August 20, 2013

Former Yosemite High graduate and Oakhurst resident Lori Ann Vanzant earned a Doctor in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania in May.

Arcadia University is one of the nations top-ranked private universities. Located in Pennsylvania, Arcadia is ranked top 20 of the nations best Physical Therapy programs.

Vanzant, of Oakhurst, works at San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation and lived in Oakhurst the entire time she attended Arcadia. Vanzant attended classes online and was amazed at the information that was available through online classes.

"I was able to sit in my living room and listen to lectures , participate in discussions and even collaborate on group projects with students all over the United States," Vanzant said.

Vanzant, 52, is married to Greg Voisard and encourages students of all ages to follow their dreams and pursue higher education.
