Sheriff's Log for 8/22/13 edition

August 20, 2013 

Oakhurst

8:52 p.m. Aug. 4 — Deputies dispatched to residence for verbal disturbance. On arrival male was contacted and arrested for two active misdemeanor warrants. Suspect was booked at Madera Department of Corrections.

1:41 p.m. Aug. 6 — Victim's car vandalized near Road 222.

12 a.m. Aug.7 — Resident reported items had been removed from mother's residence.

8:27 a.m. Aug. 7 — Deputies dispatched to Sears regarding suspect behind business. Subject was suspected of intoxication and unable to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to Madera DOC.

12:18 p.m. Aug. 9 — Authorities dispatched to Urgent Care for subject yelling. When deputies arrived subject was found in possession of marijuana. Subject was cited and released.

8:23 p.m. Aug. 10 — Unknown suspect evaded police authorities during a probation search. Manhunt resulted in deputy being injured. Deputy was safely extracted from the area by low-angle roper team and transported to Fresno area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

3:48 p.m. Aug. 11 — Juvenile transported to CHCC due to alcohol overdose at juvenile party.


Coarsegold

5:31 p.m. Aug. 5 — Residence reported 160 pound solar battery stolen from home.

10:51 a.m. Aug. 8 — Subject reported to deputies that subject driving a white truck brandished= a crossbow pistol in victims direction.

5:50 p.m. Aug. 8 — Burglary near Revis Road.


North Fork

8:53 p.m. Aug. 8 — Deputies were dispatched fallowing a report of narcotics paraphernalia from another law enforcement agency. Subject was arrested and booked.

10:03 Aug. 11 — Unknown suspect broke into snack shack at North Fork Recreation Center and stole food items.


Bass Lake

9:10 p.m. Aug. 5 — Adult and teenager subjects became lost on a hike from Chilkoot camp-site. Subjects contacted 911 and Search and Rescue team were called. Subjects were found within a couple hours and returned to camp-site.


The above calls are a sampling of calls to the Madera County Sheriff's Office for the week Aug. 4 to Aug. 11 and are in no way inclusive. All suspects are assumed innocent until proven guilty.
