First Annual Dam Bowl Sept. 6 at Minarets

Sports Briefs for 8/22/13 edition of the Sierra Star

August 20, 2013

Minarets High School and Sierra High School will play the First Annual Dam Bowl at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Minarets High School.

At stake is the "Golden Cinder Block" — what Minarets teacher and cheer advisor Chelsea Milliorn calls "a respectful and humble nod to the steadfast engineering icon of the Friant Dam that sits between the campuses."

The "Golden Cinder Block" will go to the winning team to be displayed at their campus until next year's Dam Bowl.
