Oakhurst College Center extends registration hours

The Oakhurst College Center is extending its office hours to accommodate students registering for Fall classes. Two Saturday registration dates will be offered: Aug. 3 and Aug. 10. The fall semester begins on Aug. 12.

The college center will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 and Saturday, Aug. 10. The college center will extend its hours from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5 through Thursday, Aug. 8. On Friday, Aug. 9, the college campus office will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

An academic counselor will be on-site to assist with college planning. Counseling will be available on a first come, first serve basis:

9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3

8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 5

9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10

8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 12

A Financial Aid Counselor will be on-site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1. Financial aid assistance will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Placement tests will be given for those who need them. Students are encouraged to complete an online orientation prior to visiting the campus by going to www.oakhurstcenter.com and clicking on Online Orientation under Quick Links. To sign up for the placement test, call the college center at (559) 683-3940.

Beginning with the start of classes on Aug. 12, the office will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.

To assist students in obtaining their textbooks and supplies, these items can be pre-ordered from the college bookstore now through Aug. 15. The books will be available for pick-up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Oakhurst college campus. Payment is due upon receipt. Please see the campus office for further details.

The Oakhurst Center is located off of Highway 41 on Civic Circle Drive behind the Rite Aid store in Oakhurst. Classes cost $46 per unit, plus an $11 health fee. Registration can be completed at the Oakhurst Center or online at www.oakhurstcenter.com. Details: (559) 683-3940.
