Adrian Hernandez graduates from San Diego State University

Milestones for 7/18/13 edition of the Sierra Star

Adrian Hernandez, a 2007 Yosemite High School graduate, graduated from San Diego State University on May 19 with an international securities and conflict resolution degree through the university's College of Arts and Letters.

Earlier this summer, Hernandez was in Cuba assisting a group of SDSU students and a professor complete a three-week historical tour of the country.

Hernandez enrolled at YHS in 2003 as a non-English speaking student.

His proud parents, Roger and Maria Mercier, live in Miami, Fla. and formerly worked at YHS. His grandparents are Carlos and Norma Hernandez of Veradero, Cuba, and Roger and Consuelo Mercier of Oakhurst.
