William 'Bill' Jarrett Dean

William "Bill" Jarrett Dean died June 17, 2013, at the age of 50.

Mr. Dean was a resident of Coarsegold for six years and Temple City for 45 years.

He was born July 29, 1962 in San Gabriel.

Mr. Dean enjoyed boating, volunteer emergency service, Nascar, fishing, camping, sports, rescuing kittens, and aerial fire fighting.

He was a Boy Scout from 1973 to 1980 and was a Life Scout.

Mr. Dean was a volunteer for Toys for Tots, and he delivered blankets to children at Children's Hospital.

He is survived by parents Joan and Jarrett Dean of Coarsegold; sister Jill Cordes and husband Kenneth of Glendora; half-sister Tamara Dean of Cathedral City; stepsister Jennifer Lundy and husband Jerry of Norwalk; nine nieces; two nephews; aunts Dorcas Aunger of Arcadia, and Bernice Cuba and husband Eddie of San Diego.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at the Indian Lakes Pavillion and Park in Coarsegold. A memorial service will also be held Aug. 3 in Temple City — location to be announced.

Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to California Oncology of Central California's Patient Advocacy Program.
