-- Staff reportJune 27, 2013

A call was made to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department the morning of Wednesday, June 26, reporting a “suspicious package” at the Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino. Security didn’t allow traffic to go into the parking garage behind the casino while deputies investigated the report. Later that afternoon, Erica Stuart, public information officer for the sheriff’s department, reported the incident as a “false alarm.”
