Carstens Fire 70% contained

According to Cal Fire, the Carstens Fire in Mariposa County is now 70% contained and 1,660 acres have burnt. No structures were reported threatened Friday, June 21.

All evacuation orders were lifted Thursday, June 20. Carstens Road and Buckingham Mountain Road are open but only to residents with proper identification. All Forest Service roads leading to and around the fire area will remain closed.

Carter Road is open to all traffic, including the Carter Ranch Music Festival.
