Upcoming honorary mayor fundraising events

The following calendar is a list of events being held by the five candidates running for Oakhurst Honorary Mayor, an event sponsored by the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce. The person raising the most money for the non-profit organization they are supporting will be named Oakhurst Honorary Mayor at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 10 at Yosemite Bank.

The candidates and the non-profits they are representing are:

Kurtis Foster -- Oakhurst Boys & Girls Club.

Brian Gearhart -- Eastern Madera County SPCA.

Dale Miller -- Oakhurst Community Center.

Steve Montalto -- Children's Museum of the Sierra

Theresa Wilson -- Mountain Area Ski School

Friday, June 21, 6 p.m. : Blues, Brews & BBQ at Sierra Sky Ranch — Kurtis Foster for Oakhurst Boys & Girls Club.

Thursday, June 27, 8:30 p.m. : Met Cinema special movie — Co-event by Kurtis Foster for Oakhurst Boys & Girls Club and Steve Montalto for Children's Museum of the Sierra.
