Music to the ears

Minarets Spring Concert

-- Staff reportMay 29, 2013

The Minarets High School gym came alive with music last week as music teacher Bill Samuelson directed his students in the Minarets Spring Concert.

"I feel very blessed to have had such a wonderful group of students this year," Samuelson said. "They all seem to enjoy music as much as I do."

The program began with the choir singing "The Star Spangled Banner" by Francis Scott Key. The rest of the evening was full of musical performances by the Minarets band, choir, and percussion.

"I love the energy of my percussion class, the beautiful blend of the choir, and the amazing improvement that so many of the students in band have made this year," Samuelson said. "Even though I was directing, I believe I enjoyed listening to these groups as much as anyone there. It was a great culmination of a lot of hard work."
