Hibbens/Coles wed April 20

Milestones for 5/23/13 edition of the Sierra Star

Darrell Hibbens and Kimberly Coles, both of Coarsegold, wed April 20, 2013 on Coronado Island in San Diego surrounded by 25 family and friends.

For the last 32 years, Hibbens has worked for the Madera Police and sheriff's department and is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. The newly-wed bride works for Madera County.

She is the daughter of Terry and Louise Bishop of Carmel Valley and was educated at Santa Barbara City College. The groom was educated at Fresno City College and San Joaquin Delta College.

The bride and groom were given away to each other by their daughters, Sabrina Michalinos of Mascoutah, Ill. and Jaime Coles of Fresno. The groom's grandson, Andrew Furtado of Gustine, acted as ringbearer.

The couple honeymooned at Hotel del Coronado in San Diego.
