The Inter-Tribal Council of California, Inc., through the California Tribal Emergency Management and Homeland Security Program, will provide free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 15-17 at the North Fork Rancheria, 56900 Kunugib.
The CERT Program educates people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic response skills, such as fire safety, search and rescue, and disaster medical operations.
The CERT training will be delivered in eight sessions over the course of three days. During each session, participants are required to bring all provided CERT safety equipment to training, including gloves, goggles, mask, helmet, CERT vest and pack.
Participants will receive a CERT Emergency Response Kit. These kits and CERT participant manuals will be provided to everyone who successfully completes the required 20 hour training. Pre-registration required. Register online at http://northforkcert.eventbrite.com
