Poker Tournament will benefit youth baseball

A poker tournament to benefit youth baseball in the Mountain Area will be held Friday, May 24, 7 p.m.in the Lake View Room at The Pines Resort, Bass Lake.

The poker format is Texas Hold-em games only. Buy-in is $50 per player and players will be allowed to buy back in.

The winner of the tournament will be awarded a $500 cash gift card. Second place is a $250 cash gift card and third place returns the player's investment. Volunteers are needed.

The evening is sponsored by the Yosemite Baseball Boosters.

"This is a new venture for us, and we are counting on our generous community to help make it a success," said Susan Steinmetz, booster president. "The Yosemite Baseball Boosters continues to provide an opportunity for our youth to play baseball through-out the summer season. "

Volunteers for the tournament are needed.
