Resolve exhibited in Sacramento

Letter to the editor 5/2/13 edition

May 1, 2013

Dear Editor,

The buses from Fresno and North Fork converged upon the Madera rendezvous point joining the two full busses already waiting there early last Wednesday morning to begin our trek to the state capitol. Tribal leaders and citizens, elected officials, community leaders, law enforcement, business and trade union leaders all with the same positive spirit and resolve.

All took a day out of their busy lives to demonstrate the true definition of community in support of the North Fork Rancheria Casino project.

The Compact Hearing Committee of the State Assembly proceedings went extremely well owing to the outstanding preparedness of tribal, local and governmental organizers and participants. It was a marvel to behold this bi-partisan process.
