Yosemite golf team wins third league match

The Yosemite High School golf team won its third North Sequoia League golf tournament in a row at Pheasant Run Country Club in Chowchilla April 3.

Kevin Lauterbach, Yosemite junior, shot an even par 36 which resulted in 45 stableford points for the team. Chris Wick, Yosemite senior, shot a 38 for 41 points.

Both Lauterbach and Wick are former MVPs of the league, winning their honors as sophomores. They are currently ranked one-two in the NSL.

The team scored 191 points which is the highest ever for the Badgers under this format.

Kerman came in second with 157 points and Chowchilla scored 141.

Ryan Emerick scored 37 points and Eddie Nixon and Matt Moneymaker scored 34 each.
