Board of supervisors do not endorse

Letter to the editor 4/4/13 edition

April 3, 2013

Dear Editor,

I feel compelled to clarify statements published March 23 from district attorney candidate David Linn.

As a member of the Madera County Board of Supervisors, I can assure you that we have not, nor would I ever support, the board as a body endorsing candidates for office. As an individual board member I have not endorsed Mr. Linn's candidacy nor have I supported his campaign in any way.

It is unethical for a candidate for office to suggest that he has my support when in fact he does not. I encourage Mr. Linn to clarify his comments and refrain from using my name or anyone else's without their consent.

Rick Farinelli, District 3 supervisor, Madera
