Due to the possibility of rain, Saturdays Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Childrens Museum of the Sierra, will be held at the museum instead of the Oakhurst Community Park. The museum is located at 49269 Golden Oak Drive off Crane Valley Road (426).
There will be numerous treat-filled eggs hidden throughout the museum's exhibits for children to discover from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost for the hunt is included with the $6 museum admission (three and under free).
The Easter Bunny will be at the museum 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. to meet children and pose for photos.
The Sierra Lions Club will barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The cost of lunch, which includes burger or hot dog, drink and chips, will be $5.
Nothing dampens spirits like rain on an outdoor event, so we thought we would move the hunt to the museum, said Jarrod Lyman, president of the museums board of directors.
