The Yosemite High School tennis team dropped a hard fought match against the Edison Tigers 5-4 March 5.
Kenny Jeffries played a personal best match at the No. 5 singles spot. After losing the first set after an early lead, Jeffries came back to win the second and then win in a tiebreaker.
"Kenny's commitment to improving his physical and mental tennis skills is paying big dividends," said coach Stan Lawrence.
Aaron Bausch, No. 6 singles, won his tiebreaker 10-1.
"Nobody wins a tie breaker 10-1. Aaron played his best when the match was on the line," Lincoln said.
Ben Williams won easily at No. 4 singles.
Mike Neff and Matt Whitecotten won at No. 1 doubles for the fourth Badger victory.
The loss puts the badgers at 4-4 for the season.
"Everyone is working hard in preparation for league play," Lawrene said. "If we get a lot of personal best individual performances from out players that will translate into best team performances. I'd be surprised if we aren't fighting for league championship this year."
