Lottie Bell Johnson died Jan. 25, 2013, at the age of 90.
Mrs. Johnson was a resident of Mariposa for 11 years.
She was born Feb. 24, 1922 in Corona, and grew up in Modesto.
Mrs. Johnson was a telephone operator and volunteer for many organizations.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, music, old western movies, her dog Willow, and being with family.
Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by husband Cecil F. Johnson; eight sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by daughters Sherril Royse of Mariposa and Virginia Merrihew-Wood of Monterey; grandchildren Gregory Royse of Fish Camp, and Tiffiny and Nikole Royse of San Diego; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. March 9 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, located at 900 Santa Fe Ave.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Chowchilla Mountain Women's Club, P.O. Box 162, Mariposa, CA 95338 which supports the Ponderosa Basin Fire Department.
