Obituary for 3/7/13 edition of the Sierra Star

Dolores Kathryn Lundt died Feb. 17, 2013 at the age of 85.

Mrs. Lundt was a resident of Oakhurst for many years until she moved to Apple Valley four years ago. Previously, she lived in Southern California.

She was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Upper Darby, Penn. to Hobart and Helen Mart.

Mrs. Lundt was a member of Sierra Pines Church in Oakhurst and The Shepherd of the Hills in Porter Ranch where she was an AWANA volunteer.

She was a fashion model in the 1940s and later worked as a secretary. As a teenager, she participated in the Macy's Parade as a drum majorette.

Mrs. Lundt enjoyed beach camping and long morning walks on the beach, spending time with her family, photography, knitting, and classic movies.

She was preceded in death by brother Hobart; grandson Jonathan; and her parents.

Mrs. Lundt is survived by son Hobart Lundt of Big Bear; daughters Sandra Mullins and partner David Horn of Big Bear, and Mary Christopher and husband Johnny of North Fork; granddaughter Cristina Ashton and husband Justin of Clovis; grandsons Jaime Dover and David Greene, both of North Fork; and great-grandchildren Justin, Jr. and Amalia Kathryn.

A private memorial service will be held.
