Wilhelm Reinhold Schick

Obituary for 2/28/13 edition of the Sierra Star

Wilhelm Reinhold Schick died Feb. 22, 2013, at the age of 85.

Mr. Schick was a resident of Coarsegold for six and a half years, formerly of Indiana for 56 years.

He was born in Essen, Germany in 1928.

Mr. Schick was a retired structural engineer.

He enjoyed time with his family, classical music, photography, playing piano, books, and a good cup of fresh coffee.

Mr. Schick was preceded in death by brother Heinrich Schick of Germany.

He is survived by wife of 60 years, Irmgard Schick; sons Bodo Schick and wife Kathleen of Indianapolis, Ind., and Michael Schick and wife Teresa of Columbus, Ohio; daughter Michele Schick-Schatzle and husband Ken Schatzle of Coarsegold; grandchildren Brian, Nikki, Melissa, Brad, Alexander, Erich, Kelsey, Daniel, David, Greg, Kelly, Sheila, and Natalie; great-grandchildren Kayley, Luke, Clayton, Nate, Jackson, Joshua, Amelia, Alexander II and Alyssa; and sibling Reinhold Schick of Memmingen, Germany.

A memorial service was held Feb. 26 at Palm Memorial Sierra Chapel in Oakhurst.
