Yosemite's Reyna takes third
Yosemite High's 138 pound wrestler PJ Reyna placed third in the Sierra-Sequoia Divisional Wrestling Tournament on Feb. 16 at Shafter High School.
Reyna, who won an 11-4 decision over Kingsburg's Devin Smith for third place, now advances to the Central Section Masters Tournament Feb. 23 at Visalia's Mt. Whitney High School. The top four finishers in that tournament will advance to the state tournament.
Yosemite's Michael Waybright and Cameron Simonson participated in the tournament but did not medal.
"PJ is working hard to achieve his goal of qualifying for the state meet," said Kent Lincoln, Yosemite wrestling coach.
