Jean Elizabeth Kahalela'au Ching died Feb. 15 at the age of 78.

Mrs. Ching was a resident of the Mountain Area for 30 years, formerly of Southern California.

She was born May 26, 1934 in Hawaii.

Mrs. Ching worked as a nurse for more than 20 years.

She enjoyed cooking for her family and enjoying their company.

Mrs. Ching is survived by husband Norman PK Ching Sr., four children, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 in North Fork Town Hall. Friends and family are welcome to bring food and drinks.
