Dear Editor,
After last weeks' DUI accident involving a drunk woman who left Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino who struck and severely injured local physician John McBride, I feel compelled to do whatever I can to stop this casino from allowing their patrons from entering our roadways under the influence.
When Chukchansi first came to our town several years ago I was concerned about DUI accidents ocurring and have been careful when I see cars leaving that facility, especially in large numbers on the weekends. Now that one of our residents has been severely injured I am especially concerned. My heart and prayers go out for Dr. McBride's friends, family and coworkers.
Residents throughout Madera County -- especially those living in Coarsegold, Oakhurst and Bass Lake -- should not tolerate this.
Kathy Miller, Coarsegold
