Dear Editor,

Please allow me to thank all of our neighbors and friends that came to assist in the rescue of my goat and horse when they escaped from their enclosure after a car went through our fence on Jan. 19. I was not at home at the time and my father was frantic upon seeing his beloved critters walking across Highway 49 and not being able to go after them.

Also many thanks to all the people who helped to recapture my escapees, to men at the Ahwahnee Cal Fire station for putting the fence back up to keep them safely in, and to the people who kept my dad company until I was able to return home.

I am glad to know that there is still human kindness in this world and that people are willing to out of their way to help others.
