Ethel Meek Collins Hansen died Jan. 21, 2013, at the age of 92.
Mrs. Hansen was a resident of Oakhurst for 21 years, and lived in Fresno for the past 23 years.
She was born Nov. 21, 1920 in Berenda to William and Lillian Meek.
During WWII, she served in Washington D.C. in WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) -- a division of the U.S. Navy.
Mrs. Hansen and her husband owned Oakhurst Auto Parts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers William, Robert, Sidney, and Leonard Meek; sisters Anne Whitaker and Marjorie Pedigo; first husband George Collins; second husband Howard Hansen; and son George Collins Jr.
Mrs. Hansen is survived by son Michael Collins and wife Ann; daughters Patricia McMahon and husband Jim, and Janice Gilbert and husband John; grandchildren Jamie Norcross, Christina Reeves, Corey Woods, great-grandchildren Derrik, Desirae, Edward, Cassidy, Corina, Sydnee and Chett; great-great grandchildren Madison and Scott; sister-in-law Norma Meek; sister-in-law Sharon Collins; and many nieces and nephews.
She was buried Jan. 28 in Oakhill Cemetery in Oakhurst.
