Screams filled the Yosemite High School gymnasium last week over a musical performance by pop/alternative band Goodnight Argent from Pasco, Wash. Just two days earlier Goodnight Argent performed at the House of Blues in Los Angeles before making their way towards Oakhurst. The minute the YHS concert was over, students thronged to take pictures with the five-member band and get autographs on everything from soccer shoes to iPhone cases.
It was Goodnight Argent's seventh show of a 26 show, seven state, six-week high school tour that started in Las Vegas. The band is focusing this tour on high school's because that's where the majority of the music market is according to band member Jeff Stachofsky. Goodnight Argent performed at Clovis West the day after YHS' concert.
"It's been awesome," said band member Chase Manhattan. "The kids have been amazing and it's been an incredible experience."
The other three band members are Shane Santanna, Evan Taylor, and Zac Burrell.
