Lilly to play in Feb. 2 alumni game

Former Yosemite High School baseball players are invited to participate in the 9th Annual Yosemite High Alumni Baseball Game at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2.

The event, sponsored by the Yosemite Baseball Boosters, will consist of an "Old Timer's" softball game at 10 a.m. and the 1 p.m. baseball game.

Former Badger and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Ted Lilly will return home to play in the game that raises funds for youth baseball.

"This event has grown bigger and better as the Yosemite Baseball Boosters organization enters its ninth year of existence," said John McMillen, Yosemite High baseball coach.

Tuesday, Jan. 30, is the last day for players to sign-up for the game.

General admission to the game is $5 per person.

Try-outs for the 14 and under Yosemite Colts baseball team will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Yosemite High School.
