James Wayne Foster

Obituary for 1/17/13 edition of the Sierra Star

James Wayne Foster died Dec. 11, 2012, at the age of 92.

Mr. Foster was a resident of North Fork for more than 50 years.

He was born Oct. 31, 1920 in Virden, N.M.

Mr. Foster was a World War II veteran, having served in the Navy and Merchant Marines.

He was a commercial transport owner/operator for more than 50 years, and a real estate agent/broker.

Mr. Foster served for many years with the Madera County Sheriff's Posse, Search and Rescue.

He served as a member, deacon and teacher at the Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Foster is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the Cherished Memories Memorial Chapel, located at 3000 E. Tulare Street, Fresno.
