Just hours before the deadline, James Nelson, Matt Sconce and Keith Walker breathed a sigh of relief after hitting their goal of 3,000 memberships to save the Met Cinema in Oakhurst.
The theatre closed in November and, not long after, Nelson, Sconce and Walker got together and came up with a plan to keep the theatre open through a membership program. Because of their efforts and the communitys support, the theatre is scheduled to re-open Friday, Feb. 1.
