Dennis W. Outerbridge died Dec. 14, 2012 at the age of 73.

Mr. Outerbridge was a resident of the Oakhurst area for 40 years, with the last 10 years in Madera.

He was born June 20, 1939 in Long Beach to Arthur and Vera (Mullins) Outerbridge.

Mr. Outerbridge majored in music in college and was a soloist for The Choir of Southern California.

He worked as a building inspector in Los Angeles County for four years, and later worked in construction as an electrical supervisor.

Mr. Outerbridge was a U.S. Army veteran, where he served for five years as an electrician.

He enjoyed car racing and bowling.

Mr. Outerbridge is survived by three daughters, three sons, 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 in the Relief Society Room of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2112 Sunset Ave., Madera, with a service to follow at 2 p.m. in the church's chapel.
