North Fork resident Nirvana Tannehill, 32, has been accused of stabbing an Oakhurst woman inside a home in Ahwahnee Monday, Dec. 17. Tannehill, along with her companion, 43-year-old Jerry Yaugher of Coarsegold, are being held without bail.

Around 10:30 p.m. Dec. 17, deputies responded to a home on Road 600 where they found the 27-year-old female victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to an area hospital.

The two suspects were apprehended a short time later.

Tannehill, who was arrested last June for participating in the theft of a truck parked outside a church in Oakhurst, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and probation violation, and is also facing weapons charges.

Yaugher was booked on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder attempt, as well as weapons violations and probation violation.
