Hugh and Carol Taylor celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 8, 2012.

They were married in 1962 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Northridge.

The couple have lived in Oakhurst for 20 years and have three daughters: Jennifer Wilker and husband Gary of Reedley, Jerilyn Williamson and husband Jack of Oakhurst, and Jill VanNess and husband Mark of Lodi. The Taylors also have nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild due in May.

Both Hugh and Carol are retired from Davis Unified School District and enjoy traveling. They are members of Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church where Carol is an Elder and Hugh teaches weekly Bible Study. They will celebrate their 50th anniversary by taking their family on a cruise.
