Christmas Spectacular

Dec. 7-9 at Golden Chain Theatre

-- Staff reportDecember 5, 2012

Elves and reindeer will be singing, dancing an prancing as The Golden Chain Theater presents its Christmas Spectacular, 'Rock 'N' Roll Santa, Friday through Sunday.

This year the action takes place at the North Pole in Santa's Workshop. When the reindeer are playing instead of working on making toys, the head elf, Herman (Roland Ott) gets upset and fires them all.

Under the direction of Blitzen (Charlie Brown), the elves try to find jobs, but are totally unqualified and find themselves in debt. Their love of music leads them to form a band, but without a good lead singer they realize they are unlikely to succeed. But eventually a solution is found.

'Rock 'N' Roll Santa' is written by R. Eugene Jackson.

"Come and enjoy the antics of the reindeer and elves, along with dances by some of the Mountain Area's youngest talent," said Carol Kovich, Golden Chain publicist.
