Letter to the editor 11/29/12 edition

Dear Editor,

The public is invited to come to see Father Christmas at Fresno Flats Historic Village and Park 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. Father Christmas will drive his antique car over Deadwood Mountain at a brisk 18 m.p.h. and will delight the children and their families gathered at the Historic Village on School Road as he drives in.

There will be a Christmas food contribution for Manna House for those who wish to participate.

Visitors to the park will enjoy tasting a variety of delicious soups, drinks and Christmas cookies. The historic buildings will be open and decorated for Christmas, there will be a bake sale in the Nathan Sweet Museum and candle making for children.

Children will love the miniature horses that will be corralled in the park.

Choral music and a Christmas sing-a-long will warm your Christmas spirit, followed by the Chambermaid Singers with Jackie Byers and the Lutheran Bell Choir of Oakhurst.

Come celebrate the season with us.

Phyllis Campbell, Oakhurst
