A Sierra Telephone construction crew, wish assistance from Oakhurst Crane, set up a 60-foot White Fir today that was cut and brought down from Beasore Meadow in preparation for the Oakhurst Community Christmas Tree Lighting. The event will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the corner of Highway 41 and Crane Valley Road (426) in Oakhurst. There will be Christmas carolers, hot dogs, cookies, hot cocoa and cider, Starbucks coffee, books, and even an appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
