State has no clue

Letter to the editor 11/1/12 edition

Dear Editor,

The State has no clue what it is doing. Last week it was announced in the Sierra Star that Minarets High School will build a new $4.2 million ag building. The new California Highway Patrol nearing completion on Highway 49 at a cost of more than $7 million.

It was three to four years ago that construction started on improvements at Oakhurst Elementary and all the new construction for Minarets High School.

Are we crazy or what? Wouldn't a sane person stop these new construction projects since we don't have money. Instead we trudge on to tax us more to pay teachers and build high speed trains. Where is the priority? I hate California and would move if I could.

Marc Sobel, Oakhurst
