Record in office shows inexperience

Dear Editor,

I have to ask what on earth qualified Barack Obama to be president? His record in office is showing his inexperience to a fault -- he cannot run on his record so all he can do is run a negative campaign against Mitt Romney.

It is the House of Representatives that initiates all spending bills and initially produces the annual budget. President Reagan submitted balanced budgets to the House during his administration. What the House passed and was approved in the Senate does not necessarily reflect the president's budget.

The House and Senate were controlled by the Democrats and you can bet it contributed to the deficit big time. Congress passed balanced budgets during Clinton's administration -- was that Bill's doing? No, it was the newly elected Republican House and Senate.

George Bush's deficits averaged $300 billion through 2006 -- they increased when the Democrats took over Congress in 2007 and the deficit went to $1.3 trillion due to the passage of Troubled Asset Relief Program, needed to bail out the failing banks that was brought about by the bursting of the housing/real estate bubble. Gretchen Morgenstern's book, "Reckless Endangerment," explains why the banks failed.

Honestly, are you better off now than you were four years ago?

I have read both of David Limbaugh's books about Barack Obama and there's more than enough substantiated facts to say that he needs to be voted out of office. One more thing, do you really think that if you raised taxes on the rich (annual income over $250,000) that your going to make a difference? The numbers don't support that.

Everyone needs to pay some taxes, that way you get more people "buying into the system," and revenues will increase.
