Reigning Royalty

-- Staff report

October 18, 2012

Homecoming week at Yosemite High School culminated Friday with the crowning of Blackhawk Sauceda and Sydney Lorenzana as Homecoming king and queen during half-time of the Yosemite-Kerman football game at YHS.

Homecoming princesses and princes included freshman Isabella Flaherty and Jayson Lee, sophomores Breeze Leal and Tim Conley and juniors Kaitlyn Sikora and Alek Simpson.

Queen Lorenzana was escorted by her father John to the podium for her crowning.

Fun dress-up days were encouraged every day last week and hinged around the theme "Through the Decades," including a 20s flapper day, classic 50s greaser and poodle-skirt power, groovy attire from the 60s and 70s, and all the wacky, bright colors of the 80s. The dress-ups ended Friday with a Spirit Day, where students sported their Badger blue at a homecoming rally.
