In order to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 Consolidated General Election, people must register to vote by Monday, Oct. 22.
To be eligible to register to vote, a person must be a U.S. citizen, live in Madera County and be 18 years old on or before Election Day. Registered voters who have moved, changed their name, or wish to change their political party must re-register by Oct. 22.
Voter registration cards are available at the County Clerk's office, 200 West 4th Street
Madera, (call to request a card by mail or come in), local post offices, local libraries, or register to vote online at madera-county.com or registertovote.ca.gov.
The County Clerk's office will be open until 6 p.m. on Oct. 22 to accept voter registration cards.
