Rita Mylene Smith died Oct. 2, 2012, at the age of 54.

Mrs. Smith was a resident of Ahwahnee for 12 years.

She was born Dec. 17, 1957 in Maco, N.C.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by father Louie Watson, mother Maxine Watson, and brother Glen Watson.

Mrs. Smith is survived by husband Steven Smith, sister Peggy Gore, brothers L.D. Watson and Kerry Watson; grandchildren Russell, Trinity and Caleb Zealzo, Samantha, Ellejah, Tenya and Koda Appling, and Austin J. Smith.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 11 at Palm Memorial Sierra Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Oakhill Cemetery in Oakhurst.
