The Yosemite High girls tennis team (9-7, 5-1) defeated both Chowchilla and Washington Union last week by the identical score of 8-1.

"The team is playing well," said coach Stan Lawrence. We are winning a lot of tiebreakers in our matches which demonstrates mental toughness. We will have to play a near perfect match to have a chance against Liberty and have to play really well to beat Sierra again."

The Badgers hosted Liberty Tuesday (results not available at press time) and travel to Kerman today (Thursday). The team travels to Sierra on Oct. 9 and finishes league play at home against Washington Union of Oct. 11.
