The El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Madera County Supervisor Frank Bigelow (R) for the 5th State Assembly District seat in the Nov. 6 election. The chamber joins other supporters including the California Small Business Association and the California Farm Bureau Federation.

El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee Chairman Kirk Bone said Bigelow is uniquely qualified to be the voice of small businessmen and women in the state legislature.

Roundhouse to hold 25th Annual Gathering Days

The Wassama Roundhouse Association and California State Parks invites the public to the 25th Annual Gathering Days on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Wassama Roundhouse State Historic Park on Road 628 in Ahwahnee.

The public is invited to this free event to learn more about American Indian history and enjoy a cultural event at the roundhouse.

Gates open at 9 a.m. and craft booths open at 11 a.m. Activities will begin at 1 p.m. with traditional American Indian dancers, cultural demonstrations, Indian tacos, and American Indian arts and crafts. A raffle will be held and the event will close with a dinner at 5 p.m.
