The application deadline for the 17-week Master Gardener training course in Catheys Valley is Friday, Oct. 26. The course starts in January.

Applications are available at the University of California Cooperative Extension office in the ag building located at 5009 Fairgrounds Road, Mariposa. Applications can also be printed at cemariposa.ucdavis.edu by going to the Master Gardener Program.

Following training, Master Gardeners will contribute time as volunteers extending research-based horticultural information to the gardening community.
