The 19th annual Quiet Day will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Evergreen Conference Center, 43803 Highway 41 in Oakhurst.

This non-denominational event is open to anyone desiring an opportunity to refresh, reflect, and regenerate spiritually. The event is organized by the Daughters of the Holy Cross and underwritten by the Christ Church Women, Oakhurst.

This year's speaker is Reverend John-David Schofield, Bishop in Residence of the Diocese of San Joaquin. Bishop Schofield served as bishop of the diocese for 23 years, retiring in October of 2011. He continues to minister as spiritual director, counselor, preacher, and teacher both within the diocese and beyond the Anglican Church. His presentation will center on the inner core of the spiritual life.

Janice Britton of Secrets Unsealed ministry in Fresno, and Karen Shelton, accompanist, will provide musical interludes.

Registration and a continental breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. The program begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. An $18 donation covers the full day's retreat, continental breakfast and lunch prepared and served by ECCO.
