With regards to the story in the Sept. 20 edition of the Sierra Star about the sheriff's deputy who shot the goat in Yosemite Lakes Park, I agree with the deputy and Mrs. Terry on the way they dealt with the goat.
I was attacked by a deer that someone decided to make a pet of when it was a baby. I wish I would have had a gun at the time because I had several black and blue marks on my face, chest, arms and back.
Any animal that is out of control whether it is wild (and has been tamed) or a pet has no right to roam any where except it's own back yard. Something should have been done to prevent the animal from roaming on other peoples property. If people can't control their animals they shouldn't have them.
