Sheriff Log for September 6, 2012 edition

Oakhurst

A deputy was dispatched to Live Oak Drive on Aug. 22 regarding a report of a burglary.

A deputy responded to a report of the theft of two surveillance cameras Aug. 22 off Redbud Drive.

A deputy was on patrol Aug. 23 by the Oakhurst Branch Library off Civic Circle when they noticed one subject being chased by another. One subject was intoxicated and went to jail for being drunk in public.

A deputy was dispatched to an assault Aug. 24 off Highway 41.

A deputy responded to a report of water tank theft off Road 600 Aug. 25.

A deputy was dispatched to White Oak Drive Aug. 27 regarding report of vacuum salesmen acting suspiciously. The deputy was unable to locate the salesman but determined it to likely be same subject contacted previously in county selling without a county tax license.

A deputy was dispatched Aug. 28 to a report of a stolen handgun.

A deputy was dispatched Aug. 28 for a report of vandalism to the inside of the apartment.


North Fork

A deputy responded to a report of an adult furnishing alcohol to a minor Aug. 24 off Road 222.

A Minarets High School student dropped his backpack because a dog was chasing him Aug. 27. When he returned to the scene, the backpack was missing.


Coarsegold

A deputy was dispatched to a residence Aug. 22 off Road 416 regarding a stolen safe.

A deputy responded to a business Aug. 23 off Highway 41 for a report of a subject trespassing. The subject in question had outstanding warrants for this arrest. The subject was contacted and was detained while the warrants were confirmed. The warrants were later confirmed and the subject was taken into custody. The subject was later booked in at the Madera County Jail without further incident.

A deputy responded to a business off Lucky Lane Aug. 24 for a report of found narcotics on the property.


O'Neals

A deputy was dispatched Aug. 24 regarding a report of a female who was assaulted with a firearm. The incident originated in the City of Fresno. The Fresno Police Department was notified and they requested a courtesy report.


Bass Lake

An ice chest and assorted camping gear was stolen Aug. 27 from three camp sites of Road 222.
