Yosemite Basketball Golf Tournament
The Yosemite Basketball Golf Tournament will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9 at Sierra Meadows Golf Course.
Entry fee is $65 for 18 holes of golf including a cart, lunch, awards dinner and lots of opportunities for prizes.
The tournament supports the Yosemite High School boys and girls basketball programs. The varsity teams are raising funds for the Holiday Tournament in Orlando, Fla. and the golf tournament proceeds will be used for the trip and other travel expenses.

Junior Badgers lose 55-18
The Yosemite Badger Youth Football Junior team was defeated 55-18 by Los Banos Aug. 25.
Badger quarterback Ty Peterson threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns, all to receiver Cannon Eames, who had five catches on the day for 204 yards.
Los Banos also won the Senior and Pee Wee games by scores of 40-0 and 30-0, respectively.
The teams play at home Saturday against Dos Palos. Mighty Mights, noon; Pee Wees, 2 p.m.; Juniors, 4 p.m.; Seniors, 5 p.m.
