River Creek women's golf

On Aug. 7, members of the River Creek Women's Club played "Scratch Three" in tournament play. Candace Flammang earned first place honors, Angie Peters took second.

Low putts honor went to Loretta Fairband.

The club meets for competitive play each Tuesday and casual play on Thursdays. Tee time for both days is 7:45 a.m.

The date for the River Creek Women's Championship Tournament is Oct. 9 and 11. Both Low gross and low net scores will be recognized.

Badger scrimmage and kick-off dinner

The Yosemite High School football team will hold their annual blue-white intersquad scrimmage at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The public is invited to watch the scrimmage and attend the 7:30 p.m. fundraising tri-tip barbecue. Adults $10, 13 and under $5.

There will be a punt, pass and kick competition for 5-18 year-olds at 8 p.m. with a $5 entry fee. Free bounce house opens at 5:30 p.m.
