Sheriff Log for August 9, 2012 edition

Oakhurst

A deputy conducted an investigative stop on a subject July 25 in the McDonald's parking lot. The subject had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to county jail without incident.

A deputy was on patrol July 25 at the Oakhurst Community Park when he observed a subject drop a beer and later admit to drinking alcohol. He was in violation of the Madera County Ordnance. He was arrested and transported to county jail without incident.

A deputy was dispatched to a report of a male subject who sustained injury from an animal bite July 25 off Crane Valley Road (426).

A deputy was dispatched to a report of a shoplifter who stole items from Vons grocery store July 25.

A deputy flagged down by a civilian July 26 off Highway 41. The civilian reported a theft of a bicycle.

A deputy was on routine patrol check at the Oakhurst Community Park July 27 and contacted a male adult who had an outstanding felony warrant. The male subject was arrested and booked.

A deputy was dispatched to a business regarding an attempted burglary July 28 off Crane Valley Road (426).

A deputy responded to an auto burglary July 29 in the Oakhurst area.


Coarsegold

A deputy was dispatched to a residence off Highway 41 regarding unlawful entry.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the Coarsegold area July 28 regarding a father attacking his son with a knife. The father was later arrested and booked at Madera DOC.

On July 29, property was found that had the odor of suspected marijuana, belonging to a female renting a room at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino. The female was contacted and admitted the item was used for vaporizing marijuana. She was the holder of a Prop 215 marijuana card for medical reasons.

An arrestee was contacted outside her front door off Sunset Drive. The arrestee had an outstanding felony no bail warrant issued from Upshur County in Texas. The arrestee was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Madera County Jail.

Unknown suspect(s) obtained victim's social security number and address by unknown means and used this information to obtain a credit account.


North Fork

A deputy was dispatched July 27 to a church in North Fork off Road 200 regarding vandalism.

A deputy responded to an auto burglary July 30 off Road 200.

Unknown suspects stole water trough from horse pasture July 31.


Bass Lake

A deputy was dispatched July 26 to the Pines Resort for a report of a stolen phone.

A deputy responded to the theft of a purse July 30 at Ducey's on the Lake.


Ahwahnee

A deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a burglary July 26. The victim advised that there was no forced entry into the residence.

A deputy was dispatched to a report of a suspicious subject July 27 off Highway 49.


Raymond

A deputy was dispatched to a report of vandalism July 26 off Barn Owl Road.

A subject reported persons entering her home, sleeping in her bed, and placing items in her refrigerator July 30 off Digger Pine Road. No known items missing at this time.
